Man charged after woman threatened with knife during burglary

The burglary took place on Friday evening at a house in Dardistown.

A MAN HAS been arrested in connection with an aggravated burglary during which a woman was threatened with a knife.

The burglary took place on Friday evening at a house in Dardistown, Co Dublin, at about 5pm.

The woman – who owns the house – returned home the find an unknown man there who threatened her with a knife.

The woman ran from the house into her car where she was threatened again by the man.

He then left the area in a car.

The man (55) was arrested in the Ballybough area in Dublin last night just before 8.30pm.

He was charged and will appear at the Criminal Courts of Justice tomorrow morning at 10.30am.
